Summary of Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Professional Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will lead land surveying projects, utilizing advanced technology and precise techniques to gather accurate spatial data. Your expertise will support land development, civil engineering, and construction projects, ensuring all surveys meet regulatory standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills while contributing to impactful projects.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Senior Professional Surveyor, in charge of all survey projects and crew management.
  • Plan, organize, supervise, and mentor survey crews and technicians
  • Coordinate assignments to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Prepare detailed survey plans, schematics, and drawings using Carlson Survey software and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Collaborate with other licensed surveyors and civil engineers to develop plats and schematics that support design and construction phases.
  • Maintain compliance with minimum survey standards, safety standards, and requirements throughout all surveying activities.
  • Perform QA/QC on survey data, calculations, and final deliverables
  • Develop proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for survey projects
  • Build and maintain client relationships, with the opportunity to contribute to business development efforts over time

Requirements:

  • West Virginia Professional Land Surveyor (PS/PLS) license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
    • Additional State licensures are a plus
  • 10 + Years of Survey Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and other survey data processing software (e.g., Trimble Business Center)
  • Deep understanding of GPS/GNSS, control networks, and modern survey methods
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and client expectations

Construction Technician / Inspector

Summary of Position:

As a construction technician, you will be trained to perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt). Other inspection services could include environmental compliance and E&S inspections. You will be expected to communicate with project managers, client representatives, contractor representatives, and others as applicable parties. Documentation regarding the project site, requirements, testing, observation, results, and inspections will be submitted daily. You will also transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to our office laboratory for further analysis. This position will be full-time and may include occasional travel.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read construction plans.
  • Perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and others) in accordance with training and specified procedures.
  • Perform site inspections for environmental compliance.

Environmental Technician

Summary of Position:
As an environmental technician with up to three years of environmental experience through schooling or professionally. As an environmental technician, you will perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection for environmental compliance. You will collect samples, record, and calculate field data. Perform ground and waterwater, soil sampling, emergency response activities, and other duties.  You will be expected to communicate with the project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others as applicable parties. Communication regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results should be reported. You will also transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, work areas and adhere to safety standards. This position will be full-time and will include travel and potential overnight stays.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform site inspections for environmental compliance.
  • Collect field samples, record, and calculate data.
  • Perform groundwater, soil sampling, emergency response activities and other duties.
  • Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
  • Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
  • Maintains equipment and calibration.
  • Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
  • Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or other related Physical Science.
  • Preferred Wetland Delineation Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Performing basic computer functions.
  • Ability to work in all types of outdoor environments.
