Summary of Position:
The Environmental Inspector position is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience supporting environmental compliance, construction oversight, field inspections, documentation, and project coordination.
The successful candidate will work with experienced environmental professionals, engineers, contractors, and clients on a variety of projects while developing practical knowledge of environmental regulations, best management practices, and field procedures.
The Environmental Inspector will assist with field inspections and environmental compliance activities for construction, infrastructure, industrial, and other client projects. This position requires travel to project sites, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine environmental and construction-site inspections.
- Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, plans, and specifications.
- Inspect erosion and sediment control measures, stormwater pollution prevention practices, spill prevention measures, and other environmental controls.
- Document site conditions through written reports, photographs, field notes, checklists, and electronic inspection systems.
- Identify potential environmental concerns, deficiencies, and permit violations.
- Communicate observations and corrective-action needs to project managers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with environmental sampling, monitoring, and data collection as assigned.
- Review project activities for compliance with approved environmental plans and permit requirements.
- Track corrective actions and follow up on outstanding items.
- Support preparation of inspection reports, compliance documentation, permit records, and other project deliverables.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates regarding environmental observations and compliance activities.
- Maintain organized project files and accurate records.
- Follow all company, client, and site-specific health and safety requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, and navigate uneven or active construction-site terrain.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials.
- Occasional early-morning, extended-hour, weekend, or overnight travel may be required based on project needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and timely documentation.
- Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
- Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a project team.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass any required client or project-specific qualifications.

Summary of Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Professional Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will lead land surveying projects, utilizing advanced technology and precise techniques to gather accurate spatial data. Your expertise will support land development, civil engineering, and construction projects, ensuring all surveys meet regulatory standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills while contributing to impactful projects.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Senior Professional Surveyor, in charge of all survey projects and crew management.
- Plan, organize, supervise, and mentor survey crews and technicians
- Coordinate assignments to ensure project deadlines are met
- Prepare detailed survey plans, schematics, and drawings using Carlson Survey software and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with other licensed surveyors and civil engineers to develop plats and schematics that support design and construction phases.
- Maintain compliance with minimum survey standards, safety standards, and requirements throughout all surveying activities.
- Perform QA/QC on survey data, calculations, and final deliverables
- Develop proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for survey projects
- Build and maintain client relationships, with the opportunity to contribute to business development efforts over time
Requirements:
- West Virginia Professional Land Surveyor (PS/PLS) license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
- Additional State licensures are a plus
- 10 + Years of Survey Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and other survey data processing software (e.g., Trimble Business Center)
- Deep understanding of GPS/GNSS, control networks, and modern survey methods
- Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and client expectations
Construction Technician / Inspector

Summary of Position:
As a construction technician, you will be trained to perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt). Other inspection services could include environmental compliance and E&S inspections. You will be expected to communicate with project managers, client representatives, contractor representatives, and others as applicable parties. Documentation regarding the project site, requirements, testing, observation, results, and inspections will be submitted daily. You will also transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to our office laboratory for further analysis. This position will be full-time and may include occasional travel.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ability to read construction plans.
- Perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and others) in accordance with training and specified procedures.
- Perform site inspections for environmental compliance.
- Document and submit written daily reports.
- Provide clear documentation of daily construction project activities.
- Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
- Maintain company-provided equipment.
- Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
- Perform planning before executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
