As a Survey Technician, you will play a supporting role to our surveying department by gathering essential field data. You will be responsible for operating surveying instruments such as prisms and electronic distance-measuring equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment (Total Stations, GPS, etc.)
- Ability to learn how to accurately record survey measurements and descriptive field data.
- Assist in utilizing surveying software applications to gather data and performing basic survey computations.
- Perform manual labor, such as cutting brush for lines, carrying stakes, rebar, and other heavy items.
- Have the ability to take direction from Project Management, crew chiefs, and clients.
- Positive attitude when working with clients, landowners, contractors, or consultants.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed, making adaptability and a willingness to learn important traits for this position
Qualifications:
- 0- 3+ Years of Experience
- Must be able to endure inclement weather (extreme heat, cold, etc.)
- Must be able to be exposed to heights and moderate to difficult terrain. These conditions may require climbing, walking, hiking, etc.
- Must be able to withstand a physically demanding job, carrying between 50-75lbs routinely
- Must be able to walk for lengthy periods of time
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for insurability purposes
- Possess basic oral and written communication skills; interacts well with other staff, ability to function positively in a team environment

As a Survey Crew Chief, you will play a crucial role in supporting our surveying projects by operating various surveying instruments and conducting field surveys to gather essential data for construction and engineering projects. Surveying work could include boundary, topographic survey, ALTAs, construction stakeout, and As-Built surveys. You will be responsible for coordinating crews, interpreting plans, quality control of field surveying, and communicating with project managers and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct work on topographic and boundary surveys, as well as construction stakeouts.
- Execute survey work through the application of surveying principles, practices, and the ability to operate survey equipment effectively (Total Stations, GPS, Levels).
- The ability to accurately record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, and sketches will be vital to the success of our projects.
- Ability to comprehend construction plans, maps, and other project-related materials.
- Support field crews by training other individuals, along with following all safety protocols.
- Assist in utilizing surveying software applications to gather and interpret important data, as well as perform basic survey computations.
- Strong ability to coordinate with others and work as a team, but also self-motivated to work independently.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed, making adaptability and a willingness to learn important traits for this position.

- 3 – 10 Years of Experience

Summary of Position:
As an earthwork site inspector, you will perform site inspections, field testing observation, and inspection of construction operations and site development. As an earthwork inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control testing of materials (e.g. soils, asphalt, aggregate, concrete). You will be expected to communicate with project managers, technicians, client representatives, contractors, and others as applicable. Documentation regarding the construction site, project requirements, and observations will be reported. You will also transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. This position will be full-time and could include travel or occasional overnight stays.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ability to read construction plans.
- Perform observations and inspections in accordance with training and specified procedures.
- Ensure construction site regulatory permit requirements are being followed.
- Prepare and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, work areas, and adhere to safety standards.
- Provide clear documentation of daily construction activities.
- Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
- Maintain company-provided equipment.
- May attend job site-related meetings.

- Perform planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
